Offered for your consideration is a spectacular specimen of the Atlanta Arsenal rectangular waist belt plate. This particular plate measures 47mm x 68mm. Similar to Mullinax # 91 ( 2nd Edition - Expanded ). Unrepaired and totally authentic.
The plate is a relic of Fredericksburg, Virginia. The C.S.A. accoutrement plate still retains it's original body curve. Nice thick, bold lettering and indistinct periods. Marvelous in every aspect.
This plate has absolutely the most beautiful, slick chocolate brown patina I have ever seen. Still sporting a large amount of the original dark woods mulch which remains adhering from where it was dug. This dark mulch really highlights the C.S.A. lettering on the front. Spectacular in appearance.
I, personally, do not care much for over-cleaned plates - so I leave them as I get 'em. The digger simply wiped the wood mulch from the raised letters and it really sets it off! As bold and resplendent in Confederate pride as can be possible, to be certain.
An indubitable, authentic Confederate plate befitting the most discerning collector. Would be hard pressed to upgrade an excavated example. But, with a plate like this, why would you ever have to? An investment grade plate which are becoming difficult to find. Now - here's your chance to own a legendary relic and superb specimen for your collection.
