Sometime's reffered to as a "Bullseye" due to the concentric ridges on the sides. Great old war relic. Maker's name of Albert Dorff is barley visible on pewter spout. Dorff had an army contract for 15,000 canteens in 1859.
Great early manufactured canteen by a hard to find maker. Missing cover and strap. Has the chain and stopper. Very solid and would make a wonderful display item for your collection or camp display.
